Bertram Boyum

Bertram (born September 1918) is a legend in this corner of the world where Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa meet. He’s a walking encyclopedia with a century of local knowledge between his ears, as well as an endless supply of Ole and Lena jokes. Bertram will join Janette Dragvold to perform a selection of Norwegian Christmas songs.

  Roving All Day

Janette Dragvold

Janette has taught herself to play the Scandinavian instruments she collects to and restores. Her charming voice accompany the unique sounds of nyckelharpa, hardanger fiddle, seljefløyte, and low whistle. Janette will begin the day at Grace Church and move to Burdey’s for the afternoon. Join her with our very own Bertram Boyum at 1:30 at Burdey’s Café as our 100-year old Norwegian native shares some authentic Norwegian Christmas songs.

Craig is donating this day to raise money for the new Media Arts Program at Rushford-Peterson Schools. He will be in Peterson throughout the event, at times accompanying Santa. Stop him if you’d like a family photo - you’ll recognize him by his pointy red gnome hat and his camera (you remember those, don’t you?)
